BackgroundAudience-neutral. The work behind the holding company.

What We Buy

Specialty-led. Commercially-weighted. Quiet by design.

We don't lock ourselves into a fixed list of verticals. We work in three broad categories of essential Arizona service businesses, weighted deliberately toward specialty trades and commercial service work — the categories where permanent capital and operator credibility matter most.

Featured Specialty

Fire Protection & Life Safety

The clearest near-term focus inside our specialty trades category, and the one we have direct operating experience inside. The economics of fire protection — regulated, recurring, and sticky — line up with permanent capital better than almost any other service vertical we have studied.

Recurring inspection economics

Annual and semi-annual inspections of fire suppression, alarm, and life-safety systems are mandated by code across nearly every commercial and industrial property in Arizona. The work is contract-driven, sticky, and compounds with the installed base.

Regulatory moat

Licensing requirements (NICET certifications, AHJ relationships, jurisdiction-specific codes) create real entry barriers. Generalists do not casually walk into this work.

Customer density

Arizona's military bases, aerospace primes, semiconductor fabs, and data center cluster all drive concentrated, long-duration demand for fire protection — exactly the customer base we want.

PFAS retrofit cycle

Regulatory tightening on legacy fluorinated foams is generating a multi-year suppression-system retrofit cycle in industrial and aviation markets — a real, structural one-time tailwind layered on top of recurring inspection revenue.

Fire protection is featured because it is where our operator credibility runs deepest — but it is one specialty inside a broader category, not the entire thesis.

01 · Category 01 · Lead Focus

Specialty Trades

Licensed, contract-driven work with regulatory moats and steady B2B demand. The category we know best.

Specialty trades sit one layer behind the front of the customer experience but make every other system run. Licensing requirements and inspection regimes create genuine moats. Customer concentration is often B2B (property managers, GCs, military, aerospace, semiconductor) — which makes contracts long, predictable, and quiet.

If you run one

If you run a licensed specialty operator with a stable contract book — especially in fire protection, controls, or low-voltage — we'd love to talk.

Representative Verticals

  • Fire Protection & Life Safety
  • Building Automation & Controls
  • Low-Voltage / Fire Alarm
  • Commercial Access & Doors
  • Industrial Cleaning

Not exhaustive. We add verticals as we meet the right operators.

02 · Category 02

Field & Light Industrial

Specialty industrial services anchored in Arizona's aerospace, defense, and semiconductor ecosystem.

The fastest-growing of our categories. Field and light industrial businesses share the DNA we look for everywhere else: recurring B2B demand, sticky customers, real switching costs, and operators who built something the team genuinely cares about. Most are quietly excellent and rarely seen on a marketed deal sheet — which is precisely why generalist consolidators miss them.

If you run one

If you run a profitable specialty industrial business serving Arizona's aerospace, defense, or semiconductor supply chains, we are an active and patient buyer.

Representative Verticals

  • Heat Treating
  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
  • Precision Finishing
  • Industrial Coatings
  • Calibration Services

Not exhaustive. We add verticals as we meet the right operators.

03 · Category 03

Commercial & Home Services

Service-weighted operators in commercial mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and generator work.

We weight this category toward commercial service work — recurring contracts on installed equipment, multi-year customer relationships, mission-critical infrastructure. Pure residential exposure is selective; we look for businesses with strong recurring books and stable, long-tenured teams.

If you run one

If you run a commercial service operator with multi-year customer contracts, you are in our wheelhouse — particularly in mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration.

Representative Verticals

  • Commercial Mechanical
  • Commercial Electrical
  • Refrigeration Service
  • Generator Service
  • Select residential operators with deep recurring revenue

Not exhaustive. We add verticals as we meet the right operators.

What We Look For

The same six characteristics in every category.

The category matters less than the shape of the business. These six characteristics are how we evaluate every opportunity, regardless of trade.

Recurring or contract revenue

Inspection contracts, service agreements, multi-year MSAs, or a customer base that comes back on its own.

Owner ready to transition

We don't acquire distressed companies, and we don't pressure anyone to sell. Owner readiness is a precondition.

Stable local team

A team that has been there for years and would stay through a transition. Your people are the asset.

Real brand & reputation

A name that means something in its market. Word-of-mouth that we don't need to rebuild from scratch.

Arizona-headquartered

Phoenix metro preferred; Tucson and Prescott considered. Out-of-state operators with Arizona depth — let's talk.

Healthy, not distressed

Stable cash flow history. We're stewards, not turnaround artists.

Why a Holding Company

The work compounds across the portfolio.

Shared back office. Shared operating playbooks. Customer overlap between commercial mechanical, electrical, and life-safety work. Cross-portfolio benchmarking that gets sharper with every acquisition. None of it requires losing what makes each company distinctive.
